1. How do I play against an opponent in real time?
It's easy to play games against an opponent at Gamedek! We currently offer free and cash prize challenge games. To get started click on the "Games" button and select which game you would like to play. Once you have picked your game, decide whether you want to play for free or for a cash prize and enter the appropriate challenge room.

You can also locate opponents by using our "search for a rival" feature (located on the players page). In addition, you can almost always find someone looking for a game by dropping by one of our chat rooms.

2. What if I want to play alone?
You can play any of our games without going against an opponent by participating in one of our tournaments. Gamedek offers a wide variety of tournament styles, from free tournaments to progressive cash prize tournaments.

3. Free Challenge Games
Free challenge games allow you to play against a live opponent in a real time game for free. You can play any of our free challenge games by entering a game's "play for free" challenge room, selecting an open table, and setting your options. Once an opponent decides to sit at the table with you and agrees to your options, the game will begin.

4. Cash Prize Challenge Games
Cash prize challenge games allow you to play against a live opponent in a real time game for a cash prize! You can play any of our cash prize challenge games by entering a game's "play for cash" challenge room, selecting an open table, and setting your options (including how much you wish to wager on the game). Once an opponent decides to sit at the table with you and agrees to your options, the game will begin. The amount of your wager will be deducted from your account at this time. The player who wins the game will have the prize (the sum of both wagers minus game fees) deposited to his account.

5. Direct Challenge
Another way to play against opponents is by sending them a Direct Challenge. If you are in one of our chat rooms, you can do this by simply right clicking on another player's name and selecting "Direct Challenge". You can also click the "Direct Challenge" button that is located on any private chat window between you and another player. Once you have selected the game in which you wish to challenge your opponent, you will be able to set all of your options, including wager amount, before sending the challenge. Once your opponent accepts the challenge the game begins.

6. Challenge Rooms
Our challenge rooms are a great way to find opponents in your favorite games! Just click on the "Games" menu and select the game you would like to play, decide whether you want to play for free or for cash prizes, and enter the appropriate challenge room.

7. Free Tournaments
Our free tournaments are the perfect way to get acquainted with our games and try your hand at a little friendly competition. To find a free tournament, click on the "Tournaments" menu and browse our list of Hot Tournaments. You can also click on a particular game and see all of the tournaments currently available. Within each tournament listing you'll be able to review the tournament's rating, how many seats remain open, the amount of the prize, and the entry fee. Once you find the tournament you wish to enter, click on its name, sit in an empty seat and the game will begin!

8. Cash Prize Tournaments
Our cash prize tournaments are very popular and a great way to show off your skills! To find a cash prize tournament, click on the "Tournaments" menu and browse our list of Hot Tournaments. You can also click on a particular game and see all of the tournaments currently available. Within each tournament listing you'll be able to review the tournament's rating, how many seats remain open, the amount of the prize, and the entry fee. Once you find the tournament you wish to enter, click on its name, sit in an empty seat and the game will begin!

9. Multiple Winner Tournaments
Multiple Winner tournaments award prizes for 1st place and a pre-determined number of runner-ups. You can tell when a tournament has prizes for multiple winners by looking at the information in the tournament room, listed in a box on the left-hand side.

10. Progressive Cash Prize Tournaments
Progressive tournaments are exciting events that are offered on special occasions. They have a specific beginning and ending date and the cash prize increases with every player who enters.
